Fruitland Park is located in Lake County on the west side of Lake Griffin with a population as of the 2000 US Census of 3,186 residents. While the city is within an easy drive of Central Florida's metropolitan areas and attractions, it also enjoys the benefits of the quiet life where neighbors visit neighbors, and youngsters can walk or bicycle to school or city parks.
The Fruitland Park Recreation Department oversees the scheduling and operation of many activities that include swimming, in-line skating, soccer, handball, softball, baseball, T-ball, tennis, and basketball. |
