The City of Longwood is the smallest town in land area in Seminole County with the second smallest population. From the 2004 Census Bureau, the total population was 13,571. Longwood is known for its huge selection of recreation, with at least 10 golf courses to choose within 15 minutes , and 9 city parks. Natural lands and trails abound offering hiking, biking, camping, fishing, and may other outdoor activities.
Longwood is in the heart of Central Florida, and just 15 miles driving distance of the most visited tourist destinations in the world, the Orlando Metro area. Under an hour away are the attractive beaches of the Atlantic Coast.
