Orlando, Florida is host to the most magical place on earth...Walt Disney World. In 1971 the magic first began, with the opening of Magic Kingdom, Disney's first Theme Park in Orlando, Florida.
The dream all started when a man named Walt Disney purchased 43 square miles of land in a small town of Orlando, Florida which was primarily citrus fields and cow pastures. After more than seven years of planning his dream of a place where magic could come true became a reality. The Magic Kingdom today is still considered as the main Disney World Theme Park, taking an entire day to experience the magic it has to offer.
Today there are 4 major theme parks, 2 water parks and 2 nighttime entertainment complexes for guests to enjoy. Walt Disney World has become a top tourist destination, with everything from hotels to shopping, restaurants, sports and nightlife all within the large parks.
Disney's Theme Parks
Disney is home to four major theme parks, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. Magic Kingdom is the place where your storybook characters come true.
The Magic Kingdom consists of seven different fairytale lands for you to explore, Main Street USA, Adventureland, Frontierland, Liberty Square, Fantasyland, Mickey's Toontown Fair and Tomorrowland. Here you will find your favorite character's and enjoy the rides and shows.
Epcot is the park that lets you explore two amazing world's in one park. Future World and Epcot World these attractions are fun, educational and the dining is world class.
Disney-Hollywood Studios takes a look at T.V. and Movie productions from past to present. As you stroll down Hollywood Blvd. you can become a contestant of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" try more thrilling rides like Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, but whatever you choose it will be a day of adventure.
With the look and feel of an African Safari Animal Kingdom is Disney World's newest theme park. This theme park offers classic rides, shows and an actual safari ride for the whole family to enjoy.

Disney's Water Parks
Disney's Blizzard Beach is Ranked #2 in the U.S as best water parks. This park is themed around SNOW, yes snow in Florida. The legend is that a freak snow storm dropped a blanket of snow on Walt Disney property and the beginning of an Alpine Ski Resort water park began. A chair lift takes swimmers to the tallest (120 feet) and fastest waterslide in water slide nation.
Other water rides include Teamboat Springs which is the longest family water raft ride and Toboggan Racer an 8-lane water slide that sends guests racing over exhilarating dips as they descend the "snowy" slope. Another Disney water park is Typhoon Lagoon is located just past Downtown Disney and is home to the largest out door wave pool. Here guest enjoy a tropical paradise with fun and sun.
Enjoy the 2.75 million gallon wave pool, swim with sharks or just relax by the by the sandy poolside. Guest can enjoy the water park's year round due to the water being heated to a toasty 75-80 degrees.
