The City of Oviedo, Florida is located along the shores of Lake Jessup in the eastern part of Seminole County. Oviedo was incorporated in 1925 with a population of 800, by 2006 the population was 32,855 and 16 sqaure miles in size. Known once for its agriculture largly in citrus and celery, todays city vaguely resembles that of the early years. Although this city is now home to the Oviedo Marketplace Mall featuring shopping, dining and entertainment, it still embraces a one-with-nature feel with opportunities to go fishing, airboating, hiking, golfing, rock climbing and much more!
